This is a rare pair of vintage / antique Trifari clip on earrings. There are 2 sizes in this set and these are the smaller ones. They are made up of 3 light pastel blue enamel covered flowers with small glue set clear rhinestones in each center and 7 more as accent pieces around the outside.

Advertisement Info: They are part of Trifari's "Mignonette" group and were featured in a Trifari advertisement in Harper's Bazaar.
Patent Info: The patent that was eventually granted for these earrings was patent # 172,561 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on July 6, 1954. (Click here to view a copy of the patent)
Size: They are approximately 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI DESIGN Pat Pend" with a crown over the "T" on the top of the clips
Closure: Clip on style earrings
Condition: All the rhinestones are present. There are tiny chips to the enamel on the tips of the petals. The metal has some darkening but this is still pretty good condition for jewelry that is over 60 years old!
