Description:
This is a beautiful vintage / antique 1952 Trifari choker necklace. This was a part of Trifari's 1952 "Promenade" group. This group was also featured on page 249 of Julia C Carroll's book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" 2nd edition. It is made up of 6 beautiful oval rhinestones along with baguette cut and round rhinestones - all glue set in a platinum toned Trifanium. This is really an amazing, quality necklace !

Patent Info: The patent that was eventually granted for this choker necklace patent # 167,652 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Sept 2, 1952. (Click here to view patent)
Size: It is short at approximately 15 inches long
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI PAT PEND" on the back of the fold over clasp (the rest of the collection has a crown over the "T" - they often did not put it on the necklace for lack of room)
Closure: It has a fold over clasp
Condition: This necklace is beautiful with only minor flaws - there is one tiny spot in the finish on the front and one on the back (see last photo). I really don't see anything else wrong with it! It is amazing condition for jewelry that is over 60 years old!
