This is a beautiful vintage / antique pair of 1948 Trifari clip on earrings. They are each made up of 4 larger amber colored rhinestones and 4 small clear rhinestones glue set in a gold tone metal with a swirl that seems to go thru the center of the cluster. The amber colored rhinestones are open backed to let the light shine thru for amazing color!

Patent Information: The patent was #151.533 granted on Oct 26, 1948 to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman and Fishel, Inc.
Size: They are approximately 1 1/2 inches wide and 7/8 inches tall (they are worn with the widest part going horizontally)
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI" with a crown over the T on the back of the clip mechanism. Also signed "PAT PEND" and "48" on the back of each earring. At least I think it says 48 - I've never seen that before
Closure: Clip on style earrings
Condition: Near mint condition - Actually amazing for jewelry that is over 65 years old!
