This is a 1952 crown Trifari rhinestone brooch. The patent that was eventually granted for this brooch was patent #166,566 and was granted on April 2, 1952 to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. It is made up of gold tone metal with 5 marquise cut larger rhinestones, 11 faux pearls and round rhinestone accents. All the rhinestones are glue set. This brooch would be great to wear or to add to your collection!

Size: It is approximately 1 3/4 inch tall
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI" with a crown over the "T" and "Pat Pend"
Closure: Fold over pin with c closure and safety
Condition: All the rhinestones and faux pearls are present but the metal plating has slight wear and has darkened with age - still pretty good condition considering it is over 60 years old!
