Advertisement Information: The set was one of the sets featured in a Trifari 1950 advertisement: "RAVE NOTICES""Regal performance befitting a Queen, The 'Coronet' set by Trifari . . . imperial scrolls of golden Trifanium emblazoned with diamond-bright marquise stones." It was also one of the sets featured in another of Trifari's advertisements "Pick her gift from the Trifari tree of dreams" Christmas advertisement.
Patent Information: The patent that was eventually granted for this choker necklace patent # 160,427 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Oct 10, 1950. (Click here to view patent)
Size: It is short at approximately 15 1/2 inches long
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI PAT PEND" on the back of the fold over clasp
Closure: Fold over clasp type closure
Condition: All the rhinestones are present, look original and are super sparkly (although when I looked at the pictures one of them looks a little yellowed - you can't really see the yellowing in person). The metal only shows slight signs of wear if any! Really nice condition for jewelry that is over 60 years old!
