Closure: Clip on style earrings
Condition: There is some wear to the golden toned Trifanium (those little dark spots here and there) but all the rhinestones are present and super sparkly - nice for jewelry that is over 60 years old!
This is a pair of vintage / antique Trifari 1952 clip on earrings. These earrings are from the popular Promenade collection shown in the 1952 Trifari advertisement "The most enchanted gift of all Jewels by Trifari". This set was also one of the sets featured on page 249 in Julia C Carroll's book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" 2nd Edition. I could not find the patent for the earrings but the patent that was eventually granted for the matching brooch was patent # 167,716 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Sept 9, 1952 so it would have been made around that time. They have beautiful clear oval, baguette and round rhinestones all glue set in a golden toned Trifanium. They would be great to add to your collection or to wear!
