Description:
This is a vintage / antique 1949 Trifari brooch / pendant. The patent that was eventually granted for this brooch was patent # 155,214 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Sept 13, 1949. One of these "Snowflake" brooches was also shown on page 231 of Julia C Carroll's book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" 2nd edition. It was also featured in Trifari's 1949 Advertisement "this Christmas every woman can have the thrill of Jewels by Trifari". It is made up of baguette and small round rhinestones - all glue set into an golden toned metal. It would be great to add to your collection or to wear!

Size: It is approximately 1 1/4 inches tall and 1 1/4 inches wide
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI Pat Pend" with a crown over the "T" on the back
Closure: Fold over pin with roll over 'c' safety and it also has a hook so that it may be worn as a pendant on a chain
Condition: The golden toned metal shows it's age but the rhinestones are all present and look nice - still good condition for jewelry that is over 60 years old!
