Description:
This is a pair of vintage / antique Trifari clip on earrings. I could not find the patent for the earrings but the patent that was granted for the matching necklace was patent # 166,345 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on April 1, 1952 (I have included a picture of the patents for the matching necklace and bracelet of this set). They are made up of amber colored oval rhinestones along with baguette and chaton clear rhinestones all glue set in a golden toned Trifanium. They would be great to add to your collection or to wear!
I am listing the matching necklace separately!
Size: They are approximately 1 inch tall by 1 inch wide
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI" with a crown over the "T" and "Pat Pend" on the top of the clips
Closure: Clip on style earrings
Condition: The metal has some darkening and some of the clear rhinestones are replacements but they are still really collectible since they are over 65 years old!
