Description:
This is a beautiful vintage / antique 1952 Trifari brooch / pin. The patent that was eventually granted for this brooch was patent # 167,716 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Sept 9, 1952. This brooch is from the popular Promenade collection shown in the 1952 Trifari advertisement "The most enchanted gift of all Jewels by Trifari". This set was also one of the sets featured on page 249 in Julia C Carroll's book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202" 2nd Edition. They have clear oval, baguette and round rhinestones all glue set in a golden toned Trifanium. They would be great to add to your collection or to wear!

Size: It is approximately 1 5/8 inch tall and almost 1 1/2 inch wide
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI PAT PEND" on the back (the rest of the dset does have the crown over the "T" but it was probably cut off here)
Closure: Fold over stick pin with roll over "c" safety
Condition: There is wear to the golden toned Trifanium that is consistent with it's age. Also, all the rhinestones are present but 2 of them are 'dead' and may be replacements. This brooch still has a lot of sparkle!
