Patent Info: The patent that was eventually granted for these earrings was patent # 165,542 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Dec 25, 1951.
Size: They are approximately 7/8 inch tall and 1 1/8 inches wide (they are worn sideways
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI PAT PEND" with a crown over the "T" on the tops of the clips
Closure: Clip on style
Condition: These earrings look great until you examine them very closely - then you will notice they have a little bit of wear to the metal and it looks like a couple of the rhinestones have been glued back in (the yellowing is a lot more noticeable in the photos than it is in person)- still great for jewelry that is over 60 years old!
This is a beautiful vintage / antique Trifari pair of clip on earrings. They named this set "Spring Fantasy" and it appeared in Trifari's 1952 advertisement "Mothers of every age love Jewels By Trifari". They are made up of beautiful marquise cut rhinestones all glue set in a platinum toned Trifanium. These earrings would be great to add to your collection or to wear!
