This is a beautiful vintage / antique 1953 Trifari choker necklace.  They named this collection "Flirtation"  (also referred to as "Halo") and parts of this collection were featured on page 253 of Julia C Carroll's book "Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 Second Edition".   It is made of marquise cut, square, baguette cut and chaton cut clear rhinestones - all glue set in a platinum toned Trifanium.

Advertisement Information: It was one of the collections featured in Trifari's 1953 advertisement "She will know it's Christmas when you give her Jewels by Trifari".  
Patent Information: The patent that was eventually granted for this choker necklace patent # 170,368 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on Sept 8, 1953.  (Click here to view patent)
​Size: It is really short at approximately 13 1/2 inches long plus a 2 1/2 inch extension chain for a total of approximately 16 inches
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI Pat Pend" with a crown over the "T" on the back of the pendant section 
Closure: "J" type hook 
Condition: There is some wear / darkening to the metal and a hint of cloudiness underneath some of the rhinestones but this necklace is still beautiful!
