Advertisement Info: They were featured in a 1954 advertisement "Snow coral.. For a season when fashion frosts everything with brightest white … glase' pseudo-coral from a whole snow-kissed collection by Trifari."
Patent Info: The patent that was eventually granted for these earrings was patent # 172,179 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on May 11, 1954. (Click here to see the patent)
Size: They are approximately 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI" with a crown over the "T" and "Pat Pend" on the top of the clips
Closure: Clip on style earrings
Condition: These are in pretty rough condition. One of the pieces of white milk glass has chipped off and the rest of the branch shapes have cracks. There is quite a bit of wear to the metal also. Really about what you would expect from a 60 year old pair of earrings that were used quite a bit.
