This is a pair of vintage / antique 1954 Trifari clip on earrings. They named this collection "Mermaid". They are made up of beautiful clear baguette cut and round rhinestones and simulated pearls all glue set in a golden toned Trifanium.

Advertisement Info: It was one of the sets featured in Trifari's 1954 advertisement "She will love you more for remembering her with Jewels by Trifari."
Patent Info: I could not find the patent for this particular pair of earrings but the patent that was granted for the matching choker necklace was patent # 172,553 granted to Alfred Philippe for Trifari, Krussman & Fishel Inc. on July 6, 1954. (Click here to see that patent)
Size: They are approximately 7/8 inch tall and almost 1/2 inch wide
Markings: Signed "TRIFARI" with a crown over the "T" and "DESIGN PAT PEND" on the tops of the clips
Closure: Clip on style
Condition: There is a little wear to the golden toned Trifanium - but they are still great condition for jewelry that is over 60 years old!
